The Countdown to week 1 of the college football season is now less than a week away, with many big matchups taking place across the country. Former Clemson OL turned ACC Network analyst Eric Mac Lain joined Kyle Bailey as he previewed some of the biggest matchups across the ACC to start the season.
The biggest matchup in the ACC this weekend involves Eric’s Clemson Tigers as they host the LSU Tigers as when breaking down this game, Eric viewed one of the biggest x-factors to be down low in the trenches, specifically with the talented defensive front of Clemson taking on the LSU O-Line who just lost Will Campbell to the NFL, and had no major transfers come in for reinforcements. If Peter Woods and the rest of the D-Line can take advantage of a weaker LSU O-Line, Eric believes this could be the biggest factor in deciding who wins the battle in Clemson’s Death Valley on Saturday.
Eric would also go on to break down Miami’s battle against Notre Dame, as well as Bill Belichick making his college coaching debut against TCU.
