The opening weekend of college football kicks off this weekend and the eyes of the locals here in Charlotte are on the matchup between the Charlotte 49ers and Appalachian State Mountaineers in Bank of America Stadium on Friday night. Both teams will be looking to earn a first win for their new coaches at their new school and set the table for the rest of the season.
Earlier today, Wes and Walker were joined by Hunter Bailey, Charlotte 49ers beat writer for the Charlotte Observer and co-host of the Highway 49 Podcast, to discuss some of the storylines that surround the Niners heading into the game. He talked about everything from Conner Harrell winning the starting quarterback job to Henry Rutledge gearing up for a bigger role to what he took away from the pressers today.
