Jaycee Horn starts training camp on the PUP list. Are you worried?

The first tidbit from the first training camp practice wasn’t the best news. Jaycee Horn didn’t practice. He didn’t even dress. He found himself assigned to the Active-Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. This is precautionary, Carolina reports, as Horn is dealing with some soreness and they want to be careful in bringing him back after missing 13 games last season with a broken foot.

Many will roll their eyes at this story, saying, “this isn’t a big deal. Carolina simply wants to ensure their star corner is fully healthy before throwing him back on the practice field.” They will probably remind that he can be activated at any time during the preseason. They’re probably right too. It’s likely not a big deal as we have seen Horn practicing vigorously this offseason. It’s not good news either. Horn has been touted as a surefire type of NFL talent. There’s one thing, however, that always trumps talent in the NFL, and that is injury. Availability is the greatest ability.

DJ Moore skipped on to the practice field. #literally

While I’m hoping this is nothing and it likely is a nothing-burger story, it does hit hard as DJ Moore literally skipped onto the practice field. In stark contrast, Moore has only missed two games in four seasons.
