The Panthers 2024 second round pick is done for the season after only three games
After appearing in only three games, the Carolina Panthers are placing running back Jonathon Brooks back on injured reserve. He tore his ACL in his right knee, the same ligament he tore in November 2023 in college.

Brooks was the subject of much speculation and anticipation after the Panthers traded up in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft to select the dynamic, albeit injured, runner. Fans dreamed of a one-two punch combination between Hubbard and Brooks that they may now never get to see. Brooks faces long odds to return to the field for the Panthers and potentially longer odds to return as the same runner that he was in college who made general manager Dan Morgan think he was worth the high draft pick while rehabbing a significant injury.
This is an emotional hit for an offense that was already trying to figure out how to use its talent to support a developing Bryce Young. Brooks was seen as a level up for their skill position players that Young will now have to finish the season without.
