Last night, the Charlotte Hornets drafted Kon Knueppel, 4th overall in the NBA Draft, making the former Duke standout the latest draft selection for the team. They would round out the night by adding Liam McNeely 29th overall, after trading away Mark Williams, to the Phoenix Suns. Knueppel emerged as a potential candidate after a string workout for the team, combined with an impressive discussion that took place in the film room, and at a dinner, and while he’s not the Duke player everyone wanted back during the lottery process, he is poised to contribute to the team on a nightly basis in a variety of different ways.
After getting drafted, Knueppel made his way to Charlotte, where he’ll be introduced along with the other draft picks, and after he landed in the Queen City, he joined the Mac & Bone Show, as he talked about his NBA Draft experience, what stood out about the Hornets during the pre-draft process, how his game will translate to the NBA, and more.
