On Monday night, UNC got blasted 48-14 by TCU, spoiling Bill Belichick’s debut in the college game. After much hype and anticipation, there has been a lot of reaction to what took place on Monday night in Chapel Hill, with many people surprised by the lack of fundamentals and mistakes the Tar Heels made in their season-opening loss.

Over the past couple of days, the Mac & Bone Show has been busy getting the reaction from the local and national media, from Monday’s result inside Kenan Stadium. First up, was former Tar Heel QB, and current analyst on the Tar Heel Sports Network, Bryn Renner, who joined the guys on Tuesday morning, as he tried to find the positives in UNC’s loss to TCU, he gives you his thoughts on why the offense struggled as much as it did, what to make of the same defensive struggles under Bill Belichick, and more.

Earlier today, Renner’s broadcast partner, Jones Angell, the Voice of the Tar Heels, joined the show, as Jones talked about UNC’s letdown on the field on Monday night against TCU, he tells you where he expects UNC to improve the most under Belichick, and what to make of the QB position.

Lastly, noted author Ian O’Connor joined the program, as O’Connor talked about his book about Bill Belichick becoming the best football coach of all time, he explained why he thinks Belichick will stay in the college game after this year, and what surprised him the most from Monday’s opening night result.

You can listen to the Mac & Bone Show (Charlotte’s #1 morning show), every weekday morning from 6-10 AM on Sports Radio 92.7 WFNZ and the WFNZ app.
