More Details Emerge on Arrest of Vikings WR Jordan Addison: Report

January 15, 2026 by Heavy

Minnesota Vikings WR was arrested early Monday morning in Tampa Bay, Florida.

The arrest took place at 3:46am local time at the Jubao Palace Noodle Bar at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Details were murky when the arrest first happened, per usual. Now, some have come to light after a couple of days.

Joe Nelson of the Sports Illustrated Vikings team shared some of the details.

Per the police report, Mr. Addison was asked by the restaurant’s staff multiple times to leave the premises. The staff, of course, has the complete legal right to ask a guest to leave. Addison allegedly refused to leave, leading to his arrest with “probable cause” by the Seminole Indian Police Department.

The police report also claims that Addison had to be redirected to the front exit repeatedly while being escorted out by officers.

The former USC Trojan was booked into Hillsborough Country Jail at 7;33am. He was later released at about 2:40pm after posting a $500 bail. The official charge has been listed as a first-degree misdemeanor trespassing in an occupied structure or conveyance.

Jordan Addison’s legal team from Younger & Associates released a statement on behalf of their client:

“On Jordan’s behalf, his legal team has already initiated the investigation, identified witnesses, and we are reviewing the viability of a claim for false arrest. He looks forward to the legal process and upon full investigation, we are confident Mr. Addison will be exonerated.”

Jordan Addison has been a solid receiver for the Vikings, but he’s come with his off-the-field issues.

Our own Trevor Squire summarized them nicely:

“Addison, 23, was suspended by the NFL for the first three games of the 2025 season after he was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Los Angeles in July 2024. He later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

Addison was also pulled over for driving 140 mph in Minnesota during the summer of his rookie year. He pleaded guilty to a single count of speeding in Ramsey County Court as part of a plea deal that dismissed a charge of reckless driving.”

This comes at a bad time for the young kid. The Vikings have the ability to pick-up his fifth-year option this off-season. However, they do have the ability to wait until May 1st of 2027 to actually do so.

If the Vikings do pick up the option, it will only be their third accepted fifth-year option since 2015. That year, they picked up Harrison Smith’s. Since then, they picked up Justin Jefferson’s in 2023 and Christian Darrisaw’s in 2024.

Addison is due in court for the incident on February 3rd, 2026.
