With the 2024 NFL Draft roughly 48 hours away, Amelia Probst of Pro Football Focus ranked all 32 teams in the league.
Unsurprisingly, the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers are at the top of the list. They didn’t really lose that much talent in free agency and should remain title contenders for the 2024 season.
The worst team in the league, according to Probst, resides in the NFC South. As of this moment, there isn’t a whole lot to like about the Carolina Panthers.
Not only did the Panthers finish the 2023 season with an abysmal 2-15 record, they invested a ton in Bryce Young and didn’t receive promising results.
Here’s what Probst had to say about the Panthers, via Pro Football Focus:
The Panthers lost a significant chunk of their defense in Donte Jackson, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns. The addition of veteran Jadeveon Clowney should bolster their 25th-ranked pass rush unit from last season. They also brought in a potential receiving weapon in Diontae Johnson.
Despite having the worst overall record in the NFL, the Panthers do not own the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft. They traded it to the Chicago Bears last offseason.
The Panthers won’t be on the clock until pick No. 33 in the second round. They could select an offensive playmaker for their young quarterback.
