The Panthers enter year two under head coach Dave Canales. After a 3-11 start, the Panthers won two of their last three games, including an overtime thriller against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 18.
After showing some promise in the second half of last season, Bryce Young enters the season as the starter.
This draft will be about adding weapons around Young and strengthening the defense.
The Panthers have nine draft picks, including six between rounds 3-5.

Edge Rusher
Edge rusher is arguably the biggest need for the Panthers.
The Panthers have one of the best defensive tackles in the game, Derrick Brown. Carolina also signed Tershawn Wharton from Kansas City.
Now, Carolina must figure out edge rusher.
Right now, Jadeveon Clowney, D.J. Wonnum, and Pat Jones II are their top pass rushers. Now, it’s time to find an alpha off the edge.
Wide Receiver
Young needs another weapon on the outside.
2024 first-round pick Xavier Legette showed promise last season.
Adam Thielen will start the year as the No. 2 wide receiver. Depending on how the season goes, Thielen will be a prime candidate to be traded at the deadline.
Expect Carolina to address wide receiver in the second or third round.
Defensive Tackle
The Panthers should leave this draft with at least five defensive players.
You can never have enough defensive tackles, especially for a defense that allowed the most yards per carry (5.2) in 2024.
