Panthers Injury Report & Transactions – Week 15

The Panthers brought in some reinforcements at wide receiver this week.

The Carolina Panthers front office is busy throughout the season with transactions, roster moves, and injury updates. Here’s what’s happening at Mint Street this week.

Injury Updates

Per the Panthers team website, the following players are on the injury report as of publication:

Transactions

Signed WR Velus Jones Jr. from Jaguars practice squad. Jones was originally a 2022 third round pick by the Chicago Bears. He has appeared in 27 career games with two starts, 12 receptions, 135 yards, and one touchdown. Jones has also rushed 19 times for 165 yards and another score.

Signed DT Sam Roberts from practice squad. Roberts was a 2022 sixth round pick by the New England Patriots. He had appeared in 12 career games with one start and seven tackles before the Panthers scooped him up.

Signed WR Trenton Irwin to the practice squad. The sixth-year veteran has 46 career receptions for 601 yards and five touchdowns He appeared in seven games this year for the Cincinnati Bengals before joining the Panthers.

Waived S Jammie Robinson. The Panthers 2023 fifth round pick has been waived. Robinson appeared in 21 games in Carolina with 20 tackles.

Other notable transactions

  • Activated S Nick Scott from injured reserve
  • Released WR Dax Milne from practice squad
  • Waived DT DeShawn Williams the re-signed him to the practice squad
