CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CAROLINA SPORTS LIVE) — The Panthers have just a couple more days before they hit the road to take on the New England Patriots Sunday.
Carolina (1-2) is set to hit the road for the third time in the first four weeks of the season as they look to get a second straight win.
The Patriots (1-2) are coming off a home loss against the Steelers. New England had five turnovers in a 21-14 defeat in a game where Myers Park grad Drake Maye threw for two touchdowns and an interception.
The Panthers are riding high following their shutout victory over the Falcons, their first time blanking a team since 2020.
Carolina head coach Dave Canales has great respect for Patriots coach, and former linebacker Mike Vrabel.
“I know he’s going to have his guys ready to play good fundamental football,” Canales said. “Other than a couple of turnovers Sunday, they’re playing really sound football. I think they played the Steelers really tough.”
