Jaycee Horn earned a big pay day this offseason. How do you feel about it?

The first big move of free agency for the Carolina Panthers was taking care of one of their own. Cornerback Jaycee Horn landed a monster extension that made him the highest paid defensive back in NFL history.

Horn, who was selected 8th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, plays at a position that doesn’t get a lot of visibility for the audience at home unless something goes terribly wrong or incredibly right. A good defensive back doesn’t get his named called by the announcer often. Unfortunately for Horn, his name has been in the news more often for injuries than highlight plays over much of his first four years in the NFL. This last season was the closest he has come to playing a full season.

That said, he has been incredible when he has made it onto the field. He is young, his injuries were a series of unrelated issues, and he is obviously one of the best players on the team. If good teams build through the draft then they also have to reward their drafted players who have earned a second contract.

This week we’re asking y’all to grade the contract extension that Horn signed this week.

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Carolina Panthers fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
