Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper made headlines once again on Friday.
Tepper was caught on camera walking into a restaurant that had a sign that read, “LET THE COACH AND GM PICK” and taking off someone’s hat without permission. It was something that fans were stunned to see because it’s not a polite thing to do.
Despite the incident, Matt Wohlfarth, the owner of the restaurant Dilworth Neighborhood Grille, was recently asked about the incident and downplayed it.
“He wanted to know who did the sign and my employees were like, ‘We don’t know.’ He’s like, ‘What do you mean you don’t know?’ But, he seemed really nice and he was joking around, shook hands with the manager, was giving him hell about his Eagles hat, so you don’t really know someone until you actually know them,” Wohlfarth said.

Even though it caused a stir on social media, the restaurant doesn’t seem too concerned about it.
Tepper can now turn his attention to rounds two and three of the 2024 NFL Draft, which will start at 7 p.m. ET.
ABC/ESPN and NFL Network will nationally televise it.
