Tuesday marked the start of ACC Media Days, and for Ron Rivera, it marked a return to the Queen City. The former Panthers HC turned GM for Cal Football joined Kyle Bailey to break down the transition from an NFL HC to a GM for a college football program.
The conversation with Ron started by sharing his gratitude that he gets to return to his Alma Mater in Cal-Berkeley, and he said that his role as a GM is different from other GM roles in college football, as it does have some similarities to the NFL Front Office model, but he explained how his role also includes engaging with donors and alumni to help the program grow moving forward.
Ron Rivera would go on to discuss how the house settlement will impact College Football, and Ron reflects on this year marking 10 years since the Panthers run to Super Bowl 50.
