The last week for the Panthers WR room has been chaotic to say the least, as Adam Thielen was traded, and Jalen Coker was put on IR, allowing for Hunter Renfrow to be picked back up on the 53-man roster. Panthers legendary WR Steve Smith Sr joined Kyle Bailey to weigh in on Renfrow’s return, as well as preview the Panthers season opener against the Jaguars.
Steve started with what Hunter Renfrow can bring to the Panthers offense with Jalen Coker on IR, as he told Kyle that Hunter Renfrow gives them consistency in place of Adam Thielen, and he knows what it takes to get the job done on Sundays. Steve was also critical of Jalen Coker’s mindset heading into his 2nd season, which led to his latest injury, landing him on IR.
The conversation turned into what his expectations are for the Panthers trip down to Jacksonville, including what should be the Jaguars game plan against Carolina.
