CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Carolina Panthers are celebrating the team’s seventh annual Keep Pounding Day.
Multiple events were held Friday, including at the Walter G. Byers Elementary School. Panthers players, coaches, legends and staff were washing cars to show their appreciation for teachers.
They tell Queen City News that the day of service is more than just football.
“I think it just shows that, you know, we care,” said Panthers Wide Receiver Jalen Coker. “The Carolina Panthers are here for you.”
The Panthers will participate in five service projects in North and South Carolina Friday in Asheville, Charlotte, Columbia and Greenville.
