The Panthers chose to add running back depth with their first pick in the 4th round
The Carolina Panthers selected running back Trevor Etienne out of Georgia** with the 114th overall pick in the 4th round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
After an Offseason fueled by defensive additions in free agency and two edge defenders added via the Draft, the Panthers made one of very few offensive additions in the skill position department in RB Trevor Etienne, brother of Jaguars RB Travis Etienne.
Trevor Etienne figures to be the 3rd running back in a rotation that already includes Chuba Hubbard (who signed an extension in 2024) and new free agent addition Rico Dowdle from the Dallas Cowboys. Both of those two had extremely productive seasons in 2024, while Panthers 2nd round pick Jonathon Brooks from last season is certainly going to be shelved for 2025 following another ACL injury. Etienne should see most of his work as a change of pace back and receiver, but its clear that running the ball will be a focal point in 2025.
