The Carolinas have been carved up for this week’s broadcast
The Carolinas have been carved up across three different games for the early game broadcast on CBS this week. The Raleigh area will be receiving the Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals game along with most of the nation, the Charlotte area, and most of the rest of North Carolina is going to get the Tennessee Titans at Washington Commanders game, and Western North Carolina and most of South Carolina is going to be watching the Los Angeles Chargers at Atlanta Falcons game.
You can see more coverage info, including a map, here.
The Carolina Panthers have a rare afternoon home game this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That means, for all weirdos still rooting for a Panthers’ path to the NFC South crown, that your only real rooting interest this morning is for the Chargers against the Falcons. The New Orleans Saints are also playing this afternoon against the Los Angeles Rams. A Saints and Falcons loss, plus a Panthers win would put Carolina tied with New Orleans for third place in the division, only one game behind the Bucs and two games behind the division leading Falcons.
As always, use this space to talk about the action as it unfolds.
You know the drill.
