With the news that top draft pick Jaycee Horn will miss OTAs and mini-camp due to a foot injury, the Carolina Panthers may need to consider pursuing a veteran free-agent cornerback such as Marcus Peters or Bashaud Breeland. Peters, a Pro Bowl cornerback with impressive ball skills, would bring a wealth of experience to Carolina’s secondary. Breeland, who has previously expressed interest in joining the Panthers, is also a proven veteran who could provide stability and depth at the position. Ultimately, with Horn’s injury and history of physical setbacks, bringing in an experienced cornerback could be a smart move for the Panthers.
